Village of Lake Hallie Comprehensive Plan Update/Public Hearing: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE UPDATE TO THE VILLAGE OF LAKE HALLIE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN As per Chapter 66.1001(4)(d) of the Wisconsin Statutes, a joint Public Hearing will be conducted by the Lake Hallie Village Board and the Village of Lake Hallie Plan Commission on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. at the Lake Hallie Village Hall, 13136 30th Avenue, Lake Hallie WI, 54729.  The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive comments regarding the possible approval of the Village of Lake Hallie Comprehensive Plan 2024-2044 prepared by the Village Plan Commission.  The updated plan will guide the future growth and development in the Village of Lake Hallie.  The update contains the nine required elements required by Wisconsin State Statute 66.1001 including: Issues & Opportunities Element Housing Element Transportation Element Utilities & Community Facilities Element Agricultural, Natural, & Cultural Resources Element Economic Development Element Intergovernmental Cooperation Element Land Use Element Implementation Element Prior to the meeting, copies of the draft plan documents can be reviewed at the Lake Hallie Village Hall or the Chippewa Falls Public Library during normal business hours. Lateral Transfer
Lateral Transfer Hires will start at the lowest seniority level (zero seniority) and no prior
experience will transfer for purposes of seniority with this department. Additionally, no prior 
ranking or titles will transfer to this department, such as Field Training Officer, Detective, 
Corporal, or Sergeant, etc.
Lateral Transfer Hires shall be placed on a 1.5 years (18 month) probationary period, according
to Article 2-Conditions of Employment-Probationary Period.

Pay Scale for Lateral Transfer Hires
Under 4 Years Experience – Lateral Transfer Hires with under 4 years of previous full-time law
enforcement experience will start at Officer 1. Lateral Transfer Hires may start at Officer 2 to be 
determined by the Police Chief based on the new hire’s actual experience.
Over 4 Years Experience – Lateral Transfer Hires with 4 or more years of previous full-time law 
enforcement experience will start at the Officer Level that most closely aligns with their previous 
law enforcement years of experience.
To be eligible for the advance pay scale, Lateral Transfer Hires must also have the required 
Achievement Tasks set forth in Article 17 Section 4

Lateral Transfer Hires will accrue vacation based on the current vacation schedule under Article 
16- Vacation, up to 5 years’ employment. Lateral Transfer Hires will begin to accrue vacation 
following six months of employment with this department.
The 10-year vacation benefit of (1) additional vacation day for each year of service above ten
(10) years, up to a maximum of 30 days, will be granted upon 10 years of service with this
department.
Lateral Transfer Hires will accrue sick leave based on Article 19-Sick Leave and Article 2-
Probationary Period.

Accumulated Sick Leave Pay Out, Article 19 Section 4, will be paid out upon separation from this 
department based on actual years of service with this department.
