Spring Election Early Voting Open March 24th!: In-person early voting for the April 7, 2026 Spring Election will be available at the Village of Lake Hallie: March 24 – April 2, 2026 During Office Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM The absentee ballot drop box is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience.   Please note that the drop box will be closed and locked at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026. Press Release: Temporary Seasonal 10-Ton Weight Restrictions

TEMPORARY SEASONAL 10-TON WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS

The Village of Lake Hallie Public Works Department announces that temporary seasonal weight restrictions will go into effect beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2026, once signs are erected.

In accordance with Wisconsin Statutes §349.16, a 10-ton road ban will be placed on designated Village roads during the spring thaw period to protect roadway infrastructure from damage caused by heavy vehicles when the road base is weakened by moisture and fluctuating temperatures.

The duration of these temporary restrictions will depend on weather conditions and roadway stability. The Village appreciates the cooperation of residents, contractors, and trucking companies during this critical period for roadway preservation. Violations of posted weight limits may result in penalties under Wisconsin Statutes §348.21.
